Wrestlers finish season with record of 31 - 3
Schoharie's Wrestling Team finished their season
with a record of 31 wins and just 3 losses, after a 45-42 victory over
Berne-Knox-Westerlo on Feb. 1. Alexis Bleau and Sean Durfee pinned for
the team, while Brad Johnson added a decision victory. Katie Murphy,
Kyle Brown, Skyler VanDerwerken, Lucas Howland and Chris DellaRocco
received forfeits.

defends title at Ichabod Crane
Congratulations to the wrestling team
on their title defense at the Ichabod Crane Tournament, January 20 &
21. The team went 8-0 defeating: Monument Mountain, Schuylervile,
Cohoes, CBA, Coxackie-Athens, Taconic-Hills, Waterford and
Ichabod-Crane. Alexis Bleau and Lucas Howland were both 8-0. Jon Henzler
was 7-1. Howland was named the team's "Most Outstanding Wrestler."
Congratulations on a great weekend.

victorious at Johnstown Duals
Schoharie's Wrestling Team was
victorious at the Johnstown Duals, defeating Johnstown, Cairo-Durham,
Fonda-Fultonville, Canajoharie/Fort Plain, and Warrensburg. Alexis
Bleau, Kyle Brown, Lucas Howland, Jon Henzler and Joe Randazzo all went
5-0; Sean Durfee, Aaron Rosa and Chris DellaRocco were 4-1, while Skyler
VanDerwerken and Zack Thorington were 3-2. Great job!

wins Albany Academy Duals

Congratualtions
to the wrestling team on their championship performance at the
Albany-Academy Duals on Saturday, December 17. The team defeated Burke
Catholic, Deering from Maine, Albany-Academy and Schuylerville. Alexis
Bleau, Kyle Brown, Lucas Howland and Aaron Rosa won all 4 of their
matches. Brad Johnson was 3-0, while Zack Thorington, Chris DellaRocco
and Joe Randazzo were 3-1. Kyle Brown was named the team's "Most
Outstanding Wrestler." Congratulations on a great day!
Wrestling Team wins championship

Congratulations to the wrestling team on their team
championship at the Voorheesville Duals. The team defeated Catskill,
Voorheesville, Taconic Hills, Monticello and Cambridge. Lucas Howland,
Joe Randazzo, Zack Thorington, Jon Henzler, Aaron Rosa and Katie Murphy
were 5-0; Alexis Bleau, Kyle Brown and Chris DellaRocco wer 4-1 on the
day. Lucas Howland and Joe Randazzo were named tournament "Most
Outstanding Wrestlers." Great job!

1981 Boys Soccer Team League
Champions
The 1981 Boys Soccer Team League Champions were
honored at the Fall Sports Banquet with a banner recognizing their
thirty year anniversary record of 11-1 League Championship Season. Back

Columbia Football Raises $$$
for Booster Club
Columbia Football Team raised $625 for the Schoharie
Booster Club to help out in the wake of Hurricane Irene. The team is
pictured on their home field with their Head Coach Craig Cavotta.
Coaching staff and Athletic Director Michael Leonard. The Schoharie
Central School's Athletic Department is very grateful for this wonderful
gesture and wishes the team success in the future. The Columbia Football
team will play for the Section 2 Class AA Championship this week in
Section 2 Super Bowl. "GO BLUE DEVILS!"
